GODLY FEAR

Christ can never be known without a sense of awe and fear accompanying the knowledge. No one who knows Him intimately can ever be flippant in His presence. ---- A W. Tozer

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power (Hebrews 1:1-4).

PERSON

If there is any reality within the whole sphere of human experience that is by its very nature worthy to challenge the mind, charm the heart and bring the total life to a burning focus, it is the reality that revolves around the person of Christ. ---- A. W. Tozer

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (Colossians 3:15-17)

STUDY

We being what we are and all things else being what they are, the most important and profitable study anyone of us can engage in is without question the study of theology. - A. W. Tozer

Do your best to present yourself unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (II Timothy 2:15).

WORLDLINESS

That this world is a playground instead of a battlefield has now been accepted in practice by the vast majority of fundamentalist Christians. ---- A. W. Tozer.

If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you (John 15:18-20).

Creation

The problems of origin and destiny have escaped the philosopher and the scientist, but the humblest follower of Christ knows the answer to both.
---- A. W. Tozer

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible (Hebrews 11:1-2).

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words whose voice is not heard (Psalm 19:1-3).
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).

"The spacious firmament on high, with all the blue ethereal sky, and spangled heavens, a shining frame their great Original proclaim. Th'unwearied sun, from day to day, does his Creator's power display, and publishes to every land the work of an almighty hand.

On Knowing God

Good morning!

ON KNOWING GOD
The Christian is strong or weak depending upon how closely he has cultivated the knowledge of God. ---- A. W. Tozer
