Evangelism

When telling thy salvation free, Let all absorbing thoughts of thee My heart and soul engross. And when all hearts are bowed and stirred Beneath the influence of thy Word Hide me behind thy cross. ---- Anonymous

For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet... (Isaiah 62:1).

A hymn to read, sing, hum, or whistle to the glory of God:
We Have Heard the Joyful Sound:

We have heard the joyful sound: Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Spread the tidings all around: Jesus saves! Jesus! saves! Bear the news to ev-'ry land, climb the steeps and cross the waves; onward! 'tis our Lord's command; Jesus saves! Jesus saves! (Priscilla J. Owens, 1868)

Evangelism

Good morning!

Election demands evangelism. All of God's elect must be saved. Not one of them may perish. And the gospel is the means by which God bestows saving faith upon them. ---- R. B. Kuiper

And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, in order that He might be first born among many brothers. And those whom He predestined He also called, and those whom He called He also justified, and those whom He justified He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30; see also Romans 9:1-33).

For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.."  But how are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?  So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:14-15, 17).

A hymn to read, sing, hum, or whistle to the glory of God: 'Tis Not That I Did Choose Thee." (Trinity Hymnal, 471).
