LIMITLESS

About God's infinity: God is without limit or boundary. We cannot cross a line and say, 'Now here God is not; here is a limit which He has not passed, and cannot pass.' "Trismegistus said God is a circle, whose center is everywhere, but His circumference is nowhere." --- Alexander Whyte

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and He said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you." (Exodus 3:14).

Can you find out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limit of the Almighty? It is higher than heaven --- what can you do? Deeper than Sheol --- what can you know? Its measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea (Job 11:7-9).

AGE

When grace is joined with wrinkles, it is adorable. There is an unspeakable dawn in happy old age. -- Victor Hugo

If you prepare your heart, you will stretch out your hands toward Him. Surely then you will lift up your face without blemish; you will be secure and will not fear. You will forget your misery; you will remember it as waters that have passed away, and your life will be brighter than the noonday; the darkness will be like the morning. And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security. You will lie down, and none will make you afraid. -- Job 11:7, 13, 15-19.

God's Mercies

Joy and peace are produced not so much by large chunks of God's mercies that seldom happen, as by little pieces of His benevolent providence that occur every day. ---- pgs

If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy...and though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great...He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting (Job 8:5, 7, 21).

A hymn to read, sing, hum, or whistle, to the glory of God: GOD SEES THE LITTLE SPARROW FALL. God sees the little sparrow fall, it meets his tender view; if God so loves the little birds, I know he loves me too (Maria Straub, 1838-1898).

Omniscience

Good morning!

Have you ever realized that things occur to us, but nothing ever occurs to God? --- Selected

From where, then, does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding? God understands the way to it, and He knows its place. For He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens. For His eyes are on the ways of a man, and He sees all his steps  (Job 28:20, 23-24; 34:21).

He determines the number of the stars; He gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding is beyond measure (Psalm 147:4-5).

For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose...' (Isaiah 46:10).

The LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts (I Chronicles 28:9).

Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world (Acts 15:8).

And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must given account (Hebrews 4:13).

Humility

Good morning!

Humility. The best of God's people have abhorred themselves. Like the spire of a steeple, we are least at the highest. ---- Thomas Manton

How then can man be in the right before God? How can he who is born of woman be pure? Behold, even the moon is not bright, and the stars are not pure in His eyes; how much less man, who is a maggot, and the son of man, who is a worm!" (Job 25:2-6).

Have this mind among yourselves, which is ours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human fashion, he humbled himself,  becoming obedient to the point of death (Philippians 2:5-8).

A hymn to read, sing, whistle or hum to the glory of God: HAVE THINE OWN WAY, LORD.

Dependency

Good morning!

We should not try to hold on to this life as though our very lives depended on it --- pgs.

Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD (Job 1:21-22)
