HAPPY

Oh, happy day, that fixed my choice
On thee, my Savior and my God!
Well may this glowing heart rejoice,
And tell its raptures all abroad.
                            -- Philip Doddridge

But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the first-fruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. To this He called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (II Thessalonians 2:13-14).

A hymn to read, sing, hum, or whistle to the glory of God: O Happy Day, That Fixed My Choice (Philip Doddridge, 1702-1751).

Providence

While providence supports, Let saints securely dwell; That hand which bears all nature up Shall guide His children well. ---- Philip Doddridge

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31, KJV).

A hymn to read, sing, hum, or whistle, to the glory of God: God Will Take Care of You. "Be not dismayed what e'er betide, God will take care of you; beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you. God will take care of you, through ev'ry day, o'er all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you.
